I'm a big fan of seiko divers and own several spb mid range watches. Have been eyeing an sla seiko for a while now and this was the one I chose. The finish to the case is superb with lovely polishing and brushing the, refinement is definitely a step up. The 8l movement is also a big step up with tighter variational position tolerances (this one has only gained two seconds in four days). The only downside would be the clasp, nothing inherently wrong with it (its roughly the same as the spb clasps) but at this price you would expect at least toolless adjustment. Great watch though and great service once again from first class watches
